CSV templates — what format does FloorManager accept?

Both the inventory and work-order importers accept standard UTF-8 CSV. Required columns are shown in bold; everything else is optional.

Match rule for inventory: rows with a matching name + size pair update the existing material; new combinations are added. For work orders: every row creates a new order. due_date must be YYYY-MM-DD. Status options: pending · running · hold · inactive. Priority: normal · high · urgent.

Can I import jobs from my current spreadsheet?
Yes. Drop your CSV in during onboarding and we'll map the columns. Customers, parts, due dates, status — all preserved. If your sheet is unusual, email us; we'll convert it for you free.
What happens to my data if I cancel?
Your data stays stored for up to 1 year after cancellation — plenty of time to come back, restore access, or pull anything you need. You can export everything (work orders, time logs, materials, history) as CSV at any point, including after you've cancelled.
Does it work without internet?
Operators can keep logging time when the connection drops — entries sync the moment they reconnect. Full offline operation isn't supported, but brief shop-floor signal gaps won't lose any work.
Can I print travelers and labels?
Yes. One click prints a traveler with the routing, due date, drawing, and a scannable barcode. Completed orders print to a 50×30 mm shipping label. Both work with any standard printer.
Do my operators need their own logins?
Yes — each operator gets their own account with an email and password, so you can see exactly who logged each hour and who made each change. Admins have role-based permissions for settings, costing, and user management.
Is my data private?
Every shop gets a dedicated PostgreSQL database — your records are never co-mingled with another customer's. Hosted in the EU (Frankfurt), GDPR-compliant, encrypted in transit and at rest. Daily backups for 30 days.
What does setup actually look like?
Sign up (90 seconds) → pick your industry, we pre-fill machines/materials (3 minutes) → open your first work order (under a minute). Most shops are running real jobs the same day they sign up.
What if I need a feature you don't have?
Email [email protected]. We're a small team, we build for shops like yours, and we ship fast. If it's a fit for other customers, it's usually in production within weeks.
Can I use my own company domain instead of floormanager.app?
Yes. Point a subdomain of your choice (e.g. shop.yourcompany.com) to your FloorManager workspace with a simple DNS redirect:

Option A — CNAME (recommended):
In your DNS settings add a CNAME record: shop → floormanager.app. Your browser will reach your tenant automatically because FloorManager reads the tenant parameter from the URL. Use your full workspace URL as the redirect target: https://floormanager.app/?tenant=YOUR_SLUG.

Option B — 301 redirect at your hosting provider:
If your domain registrar supports URL forwarding, create a redirect from shop.yourcompany.comhttps://floormanager.app/?tenant=YOUR_SLUG. Most registrars (Cloudflare, GoDaddy, Namecheap) support this in one click.

Replace YOUR_SLUG with the slug shown in your account settings. Once set up, anyone who visits your custom link lands directly in your workspace — no FloorManager branding in the address bar required.
